Harvard Business Review has 2.1 million Instagram followers, but the Press is not featured broadly on this channel. After many years, it was time for the Press to establish itself as its own brand and to have its own voice. This account is just getting its legs. Read: followers.
I created a business plan for an HBR Press Instagram account, leading a team to set goals and strategies to build a channel that would attract followers and introduce our products and ideas. I am solely responsible for the photography and design of the account—crafting innovative ways to present ourselves visually—while serving as mentor in chief to junior editorial and marketing staff who craft the words to accompany the posted visuals.
We launched our account in May 2020 and continue to generate interest and new followers.
